To the SD owners in the US, have you had any luck getting KTM to replace your deformed tanks AFTER the warranty expires?
I have an 08 SDR and the tank is so deformed, it rubs the steering head, making it difficult to steer. Unfortunately, I live where ethanol is mandatory and I do use Sta-Bil marine formula.
I contacted my local KTM dealer and they called KTM NA.
Response:
"Frank, ktm claims that this is not a warranty matter. verify that all emissiions and vent hoses are properly routed and not piched. use mare formula sta-bil with all ethanol gasolines.
