Gearing 08 SDR

Isn't the stock 07 superduke USA is 17/38? I am getting so many conflicting opinions but has anyone actually replaced the front sproket with another to see how many teeth is actually has?

Some of the documentation for '07 says 17, but everyone who has posted on here (as far as I can remember) had a 16 on their 07. There are several gearing threads. I counted mine and it had 16. Also replaced it with a 16. Earlier years had 17 but many people were changing and so did KTM, I believe. Easy enough to count to know for sure!

that's what I am going to do, thanks for the help. I just received the sprokets I ordered to change the gearing from 17/38 to 17/40 but I might have 16 there and putting a 17 would be counter productive.
