Goin Racin with my '08

For the guys that have gone racing, what problems, if any, did you encounter when disconnecting the headlight, taillight, indicators etc. Any fault codes ? Any weird electical issues.

I know there are some sensors in the headlight but not sure what can or cannot be done away with.

What are the traps for the uneducated in removing all the unnecessary road gear to go racing.

Hi, good luck with the racing, was the best thing I did with my 06SD! Didn't have any issues apart from the side stand sensor. Just unplugged everything, boxed it and sold it! You won't believe how solid these bikes are till you drop 'em! Guaranteed they won't survive kart wheeling down a circuit but with the r&g crash bungs it survived 2/3 drops, 1 highside & a flat out, 6th gear crash at Snetterton! From a standard bike, I had the shock & forks revalved, steering damper, Dynamic rearsets, STM slipper clutch & HM Racing do a custom map. Other than that, all stock items. Any help I can offer just let me know )
