H4 LED updates?

Okay, so the "search engine" provided a bunch of results on this inquiry. But, after tons of ready so many words of wisdom, and a few that weren't, I thought I could cut through to the chase and get an answer in a new thread. (If the mod must merge, so be it).

What has been the most successful and cost effective way to swap to a nice CREE LED headlamp on a 1290 SD?

Led doesnt throw any codes.
Has two resistors one for low,one for high.
MWR in stewart fl made me a bracket to mount the
resistors under the steering stem.
