Hard Wiring GPS

I just picked up a Garmin Zumo 550. Do I just splice into the low beam? If so, what wire, there's like 3 of them (the color of the wire would be great)? Wiring into the low beam seems like the gps would suck too much power?

there are 2 aux power supply slots. 1 permanent and 1 off the ignition. Depending on which bike you own they are either in the headlight mask or under the seat.

I've got an 08 standard SD. I'm assuming the aux is in the mask, but where at? Electrics are not my strong point.

On my 2007 SD the auxiliary connectors were under the headlamp mask, zip tied at the left fork tube.

On a 08 they are definately in the headlight mask on the right as you look at it.
