Hi guys, it sounds to me that the wiggles are rider induced. If you are not using your stomach muscles to keep yourself leaning forward you will have a death grip on the handlebars. To keep the bike stable you have to have a light touch otherwise you will cause handling issues. The only instability I get on the SD are from me getting lazy, otherwise it is a very good handler. Keep the front wheel up and the hammer down. Alf

FIRST----- thanxs ever so much for your mods list I would still be in SD dark ages with out it.
SECOND----- Bit doff of me -but wot is a stomp pad I hold my Tank with a nympo like between leg grip when playing and often wished for a better knee hooker in desighn. We dont use the term (stomp Pad)??
Third -------If I can suggst one thing on your list IT WOULD be check throttle boddies befor attempting anything else.Man we battled round everything and that was it - really bad settings to start with.(forum -- back to old problem- stalling)

Hi Everyone

Sorry - I am not an instructor, but I have done the American superbike courses. I have had the chance to put this in practice and can talk about it; I thank Keith Code for my skills and understanding - although technically > Steve Broughy.

It is a pleasure helping out people with mods and info; even if it does or does not help your bike - I hope to awaken peoples interests and knowledge.

Stomp Pads, or gip pads, or a good old tube of silicone smeared over your tank is a good way to let your knees grip the tank. Awsome stuff, very handy considering the SD does not have a T-top on the tank (which allows easier standup wheelies presumably). Here is a link:

Oh OK.. regarding throttle bodies; mine have been set quite well. I cannot comment on others - but they are easy to check and align. Great point.

Cheers Gents
