Header removal.

Hey,

so, quick Q for yous.....how easy is it to remove the exhaust headers completely by yourself?

I got a week off soon and I'm thinking about having them cleaned and ceramic coated for the winter while I'm away and cant ride it anyway.

It seems easy enough but I'm not sure about the O2 sensors etc....and access to them with tools.....etc...

cheers

It's been a while since I took my headers off, so I can't help you. What I do know is that you dont have to take off the swingarm, but I don't remmember it being such a difficult job. Have you looked at the workshop manual?

oh, cheers for replying tho Dr F. I'd really like to hear from someone who can give instructions all the same. I'd like to try again one day.

update!! I'm an the worlds biggest tw@. I saw exactly what I'd done wrong this morning in the cold light of day. One lesson learned form this is dont work on your bike in the drive in fading light!! This makes me wish I had a garage more than EVER!!

I'm too embarrassed to say what i got wrong but rest assured, I doubt anyone else would make the same mistake!
