Headlight assembly and mounting 08 990SD

Hello everyone,

The SD I bought came with a modified headlight assembly and I want to go back to stock. I have the original assembly but I feel like there are some missing parts. The service manual doesn't seem to cover anything related to the headlight and how it mounts to the frame. That being said, I can't seem to figure out how the original assembly mounts. If anyone out there can take a picture for me of how it is suppose to be mounted I would greatly appreciate it. Or if you know an Internet resource that has pics that would work as well.

A parts fiche will help a lot. It'll show you an exploded view of the headlight assembly.

Any OEM parts website will have a fiche for our bike.
