headlight conversion

hey guys. have a 05 sd and am looking at changing the headlight and clocks to the 07 model. anyone know if its a difficult job or just bolt on ???

im on with doing it now even though my sd should already have the new shape clocks the bloke i got it from swapped the front end for is mates o6 front end

best advice i can give is buy the plastics new the job lot cost me around £140 the leads are around £25 i think the clocks are not cheap ( i might have a set to sell if you get stuck just ask

I've done the mod, it's not easy but if you take the time tis well within the capacity of a home mechanic.

When you say headlight cluster,are you including clocks in that? they're by far the most expensive piece of the puzzle

does anyone know if the clocks from the 690 duke are the same as the clocks from the 07 on sd. they look the same ...

Yes you can use 690 clocks, 10k max rpm is enough. If you have 05 - 06 superduke then the rev limiter is anyway activated lower then 10k rpm. All the wiring is the same, 690 does not have outside temperature sensor.

wouldn't want the wrong redline on my bike's clocks....

All my bits have turned up along with them is a invoice for inport tax £26.60
i should have ordered them from the uk i just followed a link posted on the forum to bikersjersey.com
yes they turn up a week or so quicker but also with a inport invoice
so now thats paid the bits will be at mine on monday
