Heated Grips - what's the latest?

Thanks Bamm-Bamm! That seems like a really good option. I'm really quite keen on that now. I guess I need to decide on the G2 throttle before doing this "permanent heated grips" thingy.

I've had heated grips on a BM before and they're OK but I tend to find that they get the palms of your hands really hot whilst the rest remains cold, even with handguards. Maybe down to my crap blood circulation !

However, there is a solution - heated gloves. I have a pair of Gerbings and they are amazing. Did not get cold hands once last winter. 100% waterproof too. One of those 'I can't believe I didn't buy them before' moments.

Thanks guys, I should have mentioned that I won't be using my bike for those nippy 0C morning to commute. Just sunny days out in the winter. Like today but a bit colder... say, 10C, give or take.

Eitherhoo, got a bit lazy and bought a set of heated grips off KTM Centre. They seem alright, so I'm going to givem' a go. If I'm not happy with these then I'm going with those trick things Bamm-Bamm suggested.

Living in Scotland fitting the KTM Heated Grips and handguards were the first thing I did !

The KTM grips are fine and same size as original grips, i.e. not big bulky buggers !

They work really well and on the hottest setting REALLY heat your hands up !!

Yeah, heated grips rule. I was hoping to fit mine during the week, but instead I've been insulating the garage. I'll probably get to the grips tonight. But if my Carbtune arrives then I'll balance my throttle bodies before the heated grips.

I was told to connect the grips to the second accessory socket behind the headlight. I had a quick look and couldn't find it. Any tips, anyone?

It is right thare, just take the 2 top Allen's out and I will go and take a pic for you DOOD!
