Help me identify this connector

Guys,

Whilst poking around on my bike earlier this week I pulled this cable out. It wasn't connected to anything. Where should it go, and what's it for?!

HELP!



This photo is taken just behind the headstock on the right hand side. Pretty much above the radiator cap.

Deja vu. I was hunting around my bike to try and work out how I could strap a tank bag on and found the same connector.
