#2The gauges can - I'd check the gauge console's connection (cable connector) first - it's possible it's partially (or completely) disconnected, or became unseated.
Worst case - the console gave it up (it's dead), and that happens too. Chronic enough to where KTM redesigned it, and if you have to replace it, it will appear a little different.

#7Is the speedo unit backlight still working?
I've had a couple of units fail but also had problems with broken wires/loose connections to the speedo unit - have a read thru' viewtopic.php?f=5&t=10424&hilit=dat+soft

Post 9 by Bert,
#9check if . if it is, your speedo is probably suffering from moisture problems.
If you are feeling adventurous just open it up and see if it can be repaired ()

If you need to replace your unit, I believe they updated the unit in ....SWAG......09.
So look for a updated unit.
If you have a 07 and order a 07 unit.....you just might get an 07 unit that does not take to moisture as well as the updated unit.
I say this because I bought a new unit for my 08 and I see moisture behind the screen.
