HID issues

I've had an hID system retrofitted from theretrofitsource for about 8 months. Ever since the install I've always had problems with the HID shutting off on startup. There'd be times I'd have to restart the bike like 10+ times before it stayed on. I also had past issues of the light blowing fuses. Sometimes it'd run for a while, I'd replace a fuse and it'd go for a while again. But now the HID just shuts off after any throttle is applied at all, and now my angel eye has a bunch of dead spots all of a sudden. Does this sound like Ive had a bad ballast or something? I have a high quality MOFSET regulator/rectifier that is only a year old on my motorcycle, and I upgraded to a 12cell lithium battery which has a crapload of CCA's. I never had any power issues on my stock headlight or any startup issues at all.

You guys got any ideas, or how I can start troubleshooting this?

Disconnect and try it on a car battery. If the battery is properly charged it should come on no problem if it doesn't it is probably be the ballast.
If it fails and you have to replace it go LED.

You probably already know this but just in case you wanted to add a switch for the lights, the retrofit of the 07 switch (the one that still can turn lights on and off). is plug and play. It took me 15 minutes to install.

So are the LEDs in my angeleye dead for good, or are they just being affected currently?

I'm assuming I need a new ballast to go along with a switch as well. I havent had a chance to check my battery yet

Finally got a replacement ballast, and a new angeleye (havent installed that though).

Hooked up the new ballast. Turn the bike on, rev the engine and the HID shuts off. Sometimes I can ride for like 20 yards and then it just shuts off. Sometimes the HID shuts off when I slam into 1st gear.

What's the deal here lol...

Disconnected it all again and switched back to my spare OEM headlight. Now the blinkers are blinking on and off on their owns and what not. Weird shit. I might add that I don't have resistors hooked up, and they are LED blinkers btw.

on my 08 SD the previous owner has direct power from the battery mine is a 50 watt ballast and never had any issues with shutting off

Hmm it could also be a sign of a failing ballast.

He just said he connected brand new ballast, so very unlikely.

Okay so I installed it back with a new terminal. Things seemed okay, went riding.. It shut off. And then on restart it wasn't shutting off right when I tried to turn the bike over a few times before it stuck, then shut off again while riding. Fml

I actually stopped in SLO for a bit because my friend lives there, was going to see if I could stay at his place. Ends up he was in Vegas this weekend. I called around for a hotel. Shit was way expensive. One night at motel 6 (the worst cheapest hotel anywhere) was fooking $150. So I just kept going haha
