How to remove tar?

Went through some bloody annoying road re-surfacing today where they chuck all the chippings and tar down any way long story short caked the shock (shockshield in washing machine!) and the swingarm in tar. Anyone know the best products to use? petrol or something????

Will leave the blow torch on the top shelf.

Turps should do the trick

superdan autoglym do a tar remover I have it as it works wonders as I have had this a few times. Just apply gently rud and re apply until gone. Wash with water after job done. Just use a normal cloth and no marks at all.

could use brake and chain cleaner from Wurth, but o be really confident of NOT damaging the white painted finish I'd use WD40. I reckon it'd work ok......with a bit o elbow grease/cloth etc....

If all else fails, try some of this stuff.....guaranteed to get anything off your paintwork
