I have an 08 SDR I bought used a few months ago with 1200 miles. It had been sitting for about a year without being ridden. I had all the fluids changed and flushed the gas tank. I put several hundred miles on it and did all the necessary mods to make it run like it should. It came with Akra cans and a slipper clutch. I added the MH air box, PC 3 and removed all the smog and had it custom mapped. The bike hauls ass and is a blast to ride, although it's still snatchy at the on and off throttle transition. If you ride it aggressively you don't notice it. Still an annoying feature though.
The problem is....on the inside of the end of the exaust where we all check to see how it's burning, it's wet and shiny like oil. There is no smell like burning oil (Syntec) there is no odor at all and the bike does not use more oil than normal. Coolent level is normal and the bike runs strong. Could it be the airbox pulling moister out of the air on a humid day? It's been doing this for over 1000 miles now off and on. Have you guys heard of this. I'm more than a little concerned. Any ideas?
