if akras, why pcIII?

I've read, and have been told, that if you get the akra slip ons, you don't need a pcIII. The dealer will fix your mapping and away you go. My question is, if that's true, why would you get a pcIII?

Also, if the Graves and the Akras are about the same price, why would you get the Graves and pcIII instead of just getting the Akras and have the dealer put the akra map on it?

Thanks for any enlightenment.
Akro map is shit. Custom rocks.
Graves are slightly cheaper and more readily available than the Akras, but Akras are what most people have fitted, depends on which you prefer the look of s'pose You pays your money and makes your choice, it's a free country As above on the PC3, having said that, it seems the akra map on '07 bikes works better that on the '05/'06 model.

Captain Pugwash fitted a PC3 to his '07, full akra, DNA, and found that there was very little advantage over the akra map, he did say he probably wouldn't have bothered if he had known. Just goes to show how different indevidual engines are.
