For those of you that have purchased a KTM SD Tank bag are you happy with it? Do you have any pictures of it on the bike?

Mine's handy, I use it a lot and nowadays leave the mounting pad thingie on the bike all the time. It's easy to install, easy to half unzip for filling up with fuel, doesn't effect stability. It can move from side to side a little, but I'm talking a centimetre ot two over the course of a long hard ride.

However, bags-connection also do a tankbag thingie which is highly spoken of, but after seeing how their tailpack lets in water I don't think I'd bother!

I'm happy with mine. Even though it looks tall sitting on the tank, it doesn't obscure your view of the gauges. Attaching the rear strap is not so easy. Overall good quality bag.

I use the bag daily. It's not as easy to get off and on as the magnetic bag I used to have. The zipper to the base isn't the most bomb-proof zipper I've seen, so I expect to have issues with it in a year or so. Also, it's a bit tight getting the zipper around the corners because it's so close to the handlebar. I don't have a problem with the strap system, it keeps the bag stable whether it's full or empty. I leave the base on the bike all the time as it works pretty good as a tank protector too. Even un-expanded the bag is pretty big inside. If it were up to me, though, I would prefer that the front of the bag sit lower than the back of the bag, especially in the unexpanded condition. For me, it's a bit of a challenge to see the bottom of the instrument panel, but otherwise it doesn't obstruct the view of the clocks, but it does obstruct access to the key.

I was sick of mine from swinging side to side as previously mentioned the straps on each end dont excatly keep it all that stable.I had Velcro sewn on to the base and then stuck some clear protective tape on the tank in strips across it and stuck Velcro on to it,its excellent dosent move at all.
