Does anyone happen to know if ktm is redesigning the lc8 valve cover gasket? The reason I ask is the rear valve gasket on my 1290 has been (slowly) leaking since day one. Of course since its under warranty, I'm just waiting for ktm to get the gasket that is on backorder(a gasket on backorder). The guys at my local ktm dealer said they had the same issue with a couple 1190 adventures. So I'm wondering if has become such an issue that ktm it's trying a different route of curing the problem. And if not, I can only imagine must be a ktm epidemic of having leaking gaskets and because of that the gaskets are in such high demand that it put them on back order.

#2No idea, but mine's not leaking there. All I have is the side cover gaskets sweating (and that Fooooking rear hub )
But if KTM has done something different instead of re-design, the new approach will be ignoring it....
