I had exactly the same symptoms after putting slipons on. Felt a bit faster than standard (could have been the noise egging me on though), but a bit rough on steady throttle.

Had the akra map put on, and it was definitely slower. Not hugely, or massively or any wild adverb. But it wasn't as strong as before. Maybe I have a sensitive butt ( ) that I was able to tell, but then, so was my Dad (sensitive butts' a family thing? Another ).

The remap did cure the surging, but still a bit disappointing. After remap I had a 3 run dyno done which showed 105hp (corrected for altitude). Although only a before and after properly shows changes, and most dyno's do show different numbers, this figure does seem low.

What I really meant about noticing the difference in a few BHP was that I think it's a lot to do with what's in your mind. Like someone says the only way to know the true power is to do a dyno run and even that is up for debate because of the conditions on the day and the accuracy of dyno equipment.

When I last did a bit of work to my SD, (fitted Motobox and removed SAS and fitted a PC111), I too went out and raved about the "added grunt and power delivery". I was really happy. Then I had a service done and when I picked it up Paul at Brackens told me he thought that it was the best handling SD he'd ridden but it seemed down on power! "WHAT!", I thought ........after all that work. But it niggled me that he thought this and for a week or so I rode about sort of wondering....and of course not having anything to bench mark against started to doubt.

Anyway, then I had a custom map made to suit all the mods and the dyno runs showed that it was making 121bhp so it wasn't down on power at all .....it was well more than a standard Superduke output, both on power and torque.

So all I'm saying is that what matters is you enjoy your engine performance for what it gives you and not be too worried about absolutes. Or get it tested and settle the matter.
