You can drop the forks through the yokes (triple clamps) but you do need to be careful with your ground clearance. And it'll make the bike turn in even sharper. A shorter rear shock would compliment the dropped forks. You might be able to send the shock off to a shock specialist that can rebuild the shock to a shorter length (along with springing and re-valving it for your precise needs).
And, a lower seat, obviously.
A final option is to use wedged boots. Daytona has got such boots, if my memory serves. 10mm here and there can make a huge difference.

i have the same problem, before i brought the SDR i called a company near me called MC Tecnics suspension set up. He has done a few of the 2008 super duke R race bikes and he told me that the SDR can be lowered 20mm max without changing the handling?? how he can do this i dont no? But my bike is booked in early March so when he has done it and i watch what hes doing i will know. He said that it dont involve changing and springs etc its a ride in rideout set up £85
