Superdan
Hey guys,
For those that went to Cadwell you may be bored of hearing about my tyre but you saw my rear tyre was not looking very good! and as far as I am concearned why I crashed twice. If I thought I was going faster than usuall and actually give it a handfull I would put my hands up and said "I high sided twice because im mental and dont care, I enjoy crashing".
Here are some pics:

Note the 3 rubber lines where the tyre came out the mould and the vertical (in the pic) banding from the mould, this should have disappeared with in 3-4 hot laps!? Its like the tyre has glazed over almost.
The front tyre had balled up nicely as you would expect but the rear has gone right to the edge and not worn away the side of the tyre as you would expect it has done almost 3 twenty minute fast group sessions and 100 road miles prior to Cadwell, granted I had zero preload on the rear after the first crash which may have been a factor but this was fixed by the suspension guy on track for the 2nd and 3rd session, tyre was at the correct PSI too (27.5 for track cold) and tyre warmers used.
Anyone seen anything like this before? its a K2 medium racetec.
Tyre is off and on its way to Metzler/Pirelli after speaking to them but may have to wait 6 weeks before I hear from them, may not tell me the problem with the tyre for obvious reasons but may get a new one sent to me hopefully.
