Mixing oils ?

#3My bike is on about 1900 miles, whilst out on a trip last weekend(300 odd miles) my bike burnt oil and was low. I topped it up with the best i could find at the time 4t fully synthetic 10/40. i figured that topping up with a different oil is better than running it low.
The oil was changed at the first service to the recommended 10/50 is mixing two different oils very bad or damaging? they are different weights and brands. Should i do an oil change asap?
