Tried the Rizoma tail tidy but with akras the license plate clashed with the pipes. So took the chance to day and started cutting the fender to get is as close as possible to the pipes. Also cut the bottom part sticking dowm under the license plate. Not finished yet...but think it looks better

The parts fit very well together as planned, just need to replace the gaffa tape with bolts Will move it a few mm out comapred to the picture to ensure clearance. And have some work on the cover on the back side to fit the shorter fender.

Nice work. I feel for you guys over seas. Those BIG ASS tags are hard to deal with! I have tried several things but have not come up with a good solution yet. I have a friend with a machine shop, if I get some time I think I might go over and fabricate something up.

Looks good. I bet when you're done it will look like an original KTM part, only much better.

Continued today also cutting the cover (see pic). It works ok but I think I will add a bracket between the 2 parts of the cover to add some stiffness (The fender lost some stiffness after cutting the cover).

Also made a cut behind the license plate light to get the plate a bit higher.

Pretty happy with the result, just some touch up left

ohh, wow! You cut that work of art. I'm impressed.
Good photos, thanks. [btw, I'll get back to the tail pack thread and thank you there; I just don't get to posting there, most of the time I'm on PDA and too difficult.]

I'm going to rewire my indicators /turn signals + licence plate light this week. I had decided to use the Rizoma mainly because I hate the KTM licence plate light. Although the Rizoma thing is a collection of bits and pieces and nuts and bolts, and the KTM fender is good, the way it hides the wires and connectors. The problem is I ended up with a bunch of 4 spade connectors and the big square resistor thing for the Rizoma light, and I covered it with 25mm heatshrink tube, and it looked shit. So last night I decided ok, never mind trying to keep the KTM wiring so the original parts can go back, I'm going to extend the wires of the mini indicators so they run up into the underseat tray and have the connectors there, to connect to the KTM 4-wire connector.

oh, and this only because I got a smallerz - illegal - number plate. Our legal ones are exactly the same size as yours, I think. The one I had made is 170x150. I used the smallest of the Rizoma plates, it's about 160mm wide. The brackets for the indicators, in as far as they go and with the angle down - I think they're far enough from the exhausts. Also, I've got the round Akras.

Yes, the fine here is more than the fine for no number plate.
But I see sportbikes with tiny plates, obviously illegal; mine is a compromise, Around here, now, it seems the traffic/metro police are not doing much, just speed traps and stopping minibus taxis.

If you still have the Rizoma, maybe you could make something kind of blanking plate to cover the hole of the KTM light and mount the Rizoma one.

I'll take photos of my Crash Advantage indicators soon. I think they look good, the styling is angular like the Superduke.
