So here it is.... 4hours of dyno work and air box swapin.

File 004-purple, Stock airbox with KTM paper filter.

File 008-Green, Stock box with BMC filter.

File 012-Red, Mar box with FRAM filter.

File 017-Blue, Moto box with K&N filter.

Stock air filter and BMC where run on the same PCIII map after remaping for the stock filter. There was very little, if any difference in the air/fuel graphs. And as you can see it did help a bit between 7200-8200RPM.
After fitting the mar unit it was remaped again as it went lean between 5000-8000RPM. I tried the mar unit with the K&N and the curves where near identical, with another small gain in the 7-8k area. After fitting the Moto box we remaped with the K&N filter. After the map we put the fram filter wuch mada a near identical pull with a small decrease between 6&8.5k. All the graphs shown are the average of 4 pulls. The bike was left straped to the dyno and the temp varied only 1.5degF the bar pressure and humitity did not change thruout the day.

Aaron, Thanks goes out to you from all that are involved, me being one of your loyal followers. This is a great thing you have done as a comprehensive measurement for the whole of this forum. I for one feel indebted to you and intend on a pay-back, would you be so kind to meet me in Scottsdale AZ. for a few drinks on joe? If Not, just give me the address so I can help with the expense you have gone to for all of us.

the bike on the dyno was completely stock or with akra exhausts or akra+header? If it was stock what gains could be expected adding tha akrapovics?
Anyway, I am interested... It would also be perfect to have a PCIII map from which to start tuning the engine.... It would made the package complete

Fine, MOTO... count me in.... When you're ready PM me...
If it's ok for Joe's pumpkin, then it must be ok for dade's carrot!
I will manage to sell my Evo slipon and find a full akra system......

Water goes right thru the K&N speakin from dirt bike and Jeep experiance, not the best thing to do to your motor I suppose as Im sure a bit of the dirt gets washed thru with it, but it beats havin to push it home or ride with no filter at all, when a paper filter gets wet your done, wont even idel.

dade, Ciao!!, Of course I will, It is very loud, only when you hear the LC8 at full throttle with a MOTO box on it will you understand why they have to

make a fecking "snorkle" to mute the sound... IT IS AWESOME !!! If you have ever heard a big block (ceramic) V-8 cammed up and heads ported,

blown and injected, with foot on floor...then you have heard a similar noise as this! I LOve it! to quote a member here... UNleash the beast within !!! ("Grendel")
