Sweet the garage that is fitting my m8s full Akra system is going to send the headers and "Y" piece to Camcoat for me. Won't have to be without bike for 10 days Will post up some pics when they arrive at mine and when they are installed.

Ok just got headers and Y piece back from being ceramic coated. They look pretty sweet in a nice satin black. They seem to have down a really nice job and i will be fitting them tomorrow. Excuse colour of pic but i took it with my iphone and they are not the slight grey/purple that appears in pic.

Looking good Colonel, can't wait to see them on the bike. One question - have they coated the inside of the pipes as well as the outside?

I'm seriously tempted to get this done!
Mine are in getting done as we speak!!

If you polish does it take the discolouration out?

joe, try this:

google
"jet hot" headers clean

Some interesting results - including bike headers. general impression seems to be that it's easier to keep clean.
PS: The Sterling version is the one that cleans the best, more glossy.

PS: something i just thought of..... jethotjoe...jehadjoe becomes jethotjoe..
Hi all,
Help required
Anyone has information on where to get this ceramic coating done here in Belgium?
Didn't find anything myself
Thanks a lot

Problems with Jet Hot. Apparently different plants. joe, you need to see what the OKC plant does.
Cat, calm down.... I do not understand all of the buzz behind this ceramic coating?... I mean I know it is nice to look at and cuts down on heat but

realistically when I am on the bike going around a corner I may never think of it as a great advantage, and on the images you can not see there is a

K&N air filter, a set of black moto heel guards, a set of black cyl. block off plates, and the adapter ring and spacer for the new air filter..

and then my nice shiny buffed up (looks like new) header.

I am happy to email which ever I can send to you, I was not sure what you can see, on here or direct email?...
yeah, just stick with your spare headers, bare, you got a bead blaster.
I checked the price of headers - $900
so why don't they go blue and purple like the KTM EXC etc?
yes please send pics, i wanna see the heel guards on your bike.

Here is the solution, almost half the price of the Jet Hot coating:
Mine are still looking good. No sign of any burning off of the coating. Am seriously considering getting the Akropovic slip-ons done now as well. Spoke to Camcoat and they can apply this to titanium. I think black Akrapovic cans could look awesome. Anyone done this? would love to see some pics before committing.
