Hi all,i was driving home tonight after work and had some electrical problems.
Low beam and indicators were erratic, pulsing higher and lower brightness.
And the speedometer was giving readings from accurate up to 399kph?
Also to top it all the FI light was on and off,not blinking, just a random flashing.

She is a 05,and i am wondering if anyone has any good news for me,but i don't have a good feeling on this one!!

Sounds like a bad battery. Hopefully, but regulator/rectifiers going bad have the same symptoms on Hondas.

had a look and all battery connections are sound, she started up ,warmed up,put into first and straight away pop...nada
NO lights, display nothing!Balls, but took out key,put back in and all as should be,started no problems, put in to first and then screen went funny, bike stopped, but screen still working this time??
WTF fellas???
I'm not sure but it sounds like electrical to me.

When I experienced an erratic dash it was down to an loose wire to the battery. You sure you checked the battery connections properly?
Did you take a reading off the battery to check the voltage?

It could be down to water or dampness in the electric system? (due to a recent hose down, wash or rain)
It's worth checking out the BGC (Big Grey Connector) which sits behind the coolant reservoir, on the RHS, give it a good dosing with silicon spray.
Check the negative connectors, if they are loose/broken this are the symptoms. They issue can be anywhere from the negative of the dash to the connectors of the battery and on frame connections.
If not, it is likely a rectifier regulator issue.
All is well, rectifier shot, many thanks gents!!
Be lost without this place, not many posts,be a lot of knowledge taken from.
Keep up the great work!!
