Need Spacer ID

Hi All,
Pulled my tank today to remove the secondary butterfly valves on the SDR and I found this little piece/spacer wedged in the corner of where the side tank fairing attaches to the tank. This is a new to me bike and looks like the PO or whoever previously worked on teh bike forgot about it?

Anyone know where this goes?

Ive had my bike in bits loads of times (and its currently down to a bare frame) and i can say i really dont recognize that part!?

What does it look like on the other side dude?

do you have a scotts or gpr steering dampener?? if yes its the spacer under the through bolt of your tank before the nut goes on
