Can I get some advice on the cause of my woe's please.

Have had my SD since mid March. I have racked up 3500 miles. At 2500 miles fowlers fitted Akra slipons for me. They sound fantastic.
Riding to Reading this morning I kept getting an intermittent FI light after about 50 miles which caused the bike to die for an instant . As soon as I rolled off the throttle it would clear. The bike got wet on friday and I ran the fuel pretty close to empty on saturday. Have tried fuel injector cleaner. Has anybody suffered with similar problems. Would have rung my local dealer but its sunday. Thanks

Sounds like one of the sensors on the bike is either faulty and flashing the check light on..... or there is actually a problem with the fuel injection system.... either way you need to get it to a dealer to plug in their diagnostic gear to check whats amiss


If the tuneboy application was up and running you could do this yourself by the way and save yourself a trip....... one reason ill be getting it when all the bugs are fixed

Being as I am currently stuck in Reading for a few weeks I rang up Tri Counties this morning for some advice. First thing they told me was to get it hooked up to a puter(too much time spent in Sufuk I'm afraid) but they probably can't fit me in this week. I have stuck some injector cleaner in the tank and cleaned out all the leccy connectors that I could find that might have got shitted up.

Will let you know whats wrong when I find out Take it easy
