New Clocks??

Does anyone know which versions of KTM clocks will bolt up to an 08 SD? I saw a post a couple of years ago of someone mounting up a newer (sleeker) version of the originals. Can't find the post.

I'm quite tired of moisture getting in to the originals and fogging up the works. Looks like shit....KTM should be ashamed! Of all the bikes I've owned over the years, this one...the most expensive one I''ve ever owned....is the only one this has ever happened to.

Thanks, John
I wasn't even aware there are 2 versions of the later clocks. Just got my 08 last week so still waiting for some misting problems at some point.
One of my mate has an SDR and he loves his waterblaster.
He is on his 3rd set of clocks....

For a bike with dirt bike origins the clocks are shite!
I believe one of these can be made to fit easily.
You shouldn't have issues with it John as you are technically savy.

I'm looking forthe KTM OEM version that I saw on here a while back. Should bolt right up and still provide allf the necessary warnings for FI and the like.

Did you try finding the thread using google?
Go to google and type your search query, for example 'replacement speedo' (without the quotes). Use some words you remember from the thread in your query.
Append 'site:supperduke.net' (again, without the quotes).
This gives: .
You have made me curious...
I just test rode a 2011 SMT, and they have the same dash as the SD. The difference is,it is a sealed unit, so moisture can't get in.
Hi Guys,

Is it possible to replace the clocks on my '05 SD with the inetgrated unit as used in the later models?

THX
Welcome supercellie!
Take a look at this thread: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5291
Thanks Twister....will check them out.
Thanks Bert for the warm welcome and the info.
I have a crack down the front of my speedo on the clear plastic part on my '07 that lets alot of moisture in after wash/rain. Has anyone had any success trying to fix this problem rather than buying an entire new unit?
Time to start over, midnight with zero miles! This "new " version doesn't look much different but hopefully it's sealed better. Best price I found was $285.
