Well the SD trick bit's are starting to trickle in now(thanks KTM for moving your freekin wharehouse) JJlester had me a set of rearset's made, and are GREAT! Hope to peel the swingarm off to powdercoat it today some time, it needs a good bead blasting, and it needs to have those ugly casting seams removed.

After the rear end is done, I hope to take the fork bottoms off for powdercoat as well as the tripple tree(those ugly casting seams again) and while all that's off,one may as well see f one can fit a rotary dampner under the bar's. I know the steering nut is right there, but I think one can machine ot the head bolt hole in the top tripple, and make it possible to put a hex head nut on there (larger diameter) and recess it into the tripple tree top so the top of the tripple tree is flush .Then I can mont a rotary dampner on there and maybe be able to get away with a 1/2 in riser for the bars? Will let you know when I get there .

I've been doing some mock up with just plain ol yeller duct tape, I'll be out searcing for someone to do the Super Duke graphics on the winglets come monday morning, I want to have them painted on there, so I need the graphics guy to cut them out of masking tape materieal.[img][/img]

Still, and his new avatar notwithstanding, yellow is not the best color for a KTM - even though KTM put out a yellow Duke II one year.

I think yellow really isn't enough. I think you can go 3 sheets and get to here, somehow (I think the fork gaiters really "make it") :

Overthetop are you keeping the SD when you get an RC8? Nice work although I'm a little distracted with the Big Titties!

aaaagh, the evil starbucks!

My eyes!! I cant un-see it!

(do the canadians 'do' irony?) I hope so for your sake....

nice bit o kit though...love the black swing arm btw....but not a fan of the yellow vinyl. Those rearsets (details pls) are the crowning glory of it all though I reckon....just a little splash of orange makes it very cool!

Nice work! But please please remove those frame stickers!
With all your work you've done you must remove them...total eyesore

[quote...but not a fan of the yellow vinyl.
the yellow is duct tape and it's only there for an impression. fook I just got the real painted part's back WOW is all I can say !
Still plenty to go ,chin spoiler, front fender, fork bottom's sweet Jeasus the list is supposed to get shorter ! I wasn't going to post this picture because it looks the shits compared to what it looks like in person.[img][/img]
So that's what you do, with those long Canadian winters!

I tell you what....the style of your graphics isn't quite to my taste but my god, you've created a HELL of a bike there man! Overall I think it's got some very strong elements to it. I love the rearsets but I dont think they go with the yellow though. Over all I'd say 'less is more' when it comes to customising...but if I saw you on teh street I'd want to stop, chat and gawp at it for ages.

Congrats on a fine job, looking forward to seeing the end result, eh!

Might have to contact JJ....I am seriously close to going for the HP cans too and I know he's the man for those! Would you be willing to tell how much the rearsets were as a guide for me?
got the cooler back and mounted[img][/img]

Very nice sir! I like the colour combination. Same as I use on my race bike
Great job!!
What exactly did you do with the oil cooler?

P.S. the bike looks real nice. Do you have the digital file for the SD graphics? Can you send it to me - I am also in need of new stickers

Getting closer, 1 more trip to the paint shop when the front fender and solo cap get in , and I'm lookin for a new project ?[img][/img]
I have bike envy. Won't the little bag of kryptonite on the side sap all your strength?

Looks like your weather is great.
