Gents
Just did my Motobox..flies..removed canister.etc ..Capped off the vaccum outlets(4)
Bike started..ran quite different..Started a few times..Drove it around and it seemed to relearn the changes..Standard map..Two codes for vacuum..Battery was in need of replacement..Changed it out with a new one...Now the starter relay just clicks..Won't turn over...So far I haven't had time to start over with the battery..I checked the relay..Power to it but not crossing to the starter...I'm a little baffled but as I said..Haven't gone back in to see if I did something bone headed..Any ideas..?? Haven't heard about the tip switch...I understand what it's for but if in a tip situation..What does it do and how does it reset...
Oh yah...'08 bought in '09...Black SD USA model...

Go back into the battery box and check you have reconeccted all the wires, with all the mess down there it is easy to miss 1 of the earths!

The tip switch is located in the headlight cowl and after being tripped simply resets when you turn the ignition off and back on!

Hello gents...
Just changed the topic to "no start" because of what I did in haste...My last post was concerning putting the regulator green ground wires to positive side of battery...Anyone know the concequences of doing such a boneheaded thing..???? Still miffed how I managed to do it..but I did...
Thanks for any input...

Not sure of the consequences of doing that, although they could be bad hopefully you've blown a fuse before doing any real damage. Check the main fuses by the battery.

I'm sure hoping..!!! It IS under warrantee but...I figured I better work it out on my own first...
Waiting for a starter relay and regulator...Comes next week...I checked the fuses and they were ok...
Thanks for the input...I'm embarrassed to admit such a stupid mistake..
Thanks
