Oil light coming on and off.

I did a search on this and found someone else having the same problem. But the thread never had a for sure cure. They thought sending unit but never said. Anyone?

For me, and others, the oil switch wiring was shorting out against the adjacent coolant hose clip, particularly when the engine is hot, close to the switch at the rear of the front cylinder - solved by rotating the clip and/or adding insulation to the wiring.
