Alright here's a question that will take someone who really knows KTM inside and out. While at the KTM dealer and making a comment on my SECOND clutch cover case of my 1290 that is leaking through the casting in what looks to be the exact same place. They told me that they haven't experienced that issue on any of there other bikes. I told them I was surprised that they haven't at least had some issues with their 1190 adventure or even an rc8 since they all share the same motor case. One of the parts guys told me that the 1290 and 1190 engines are different. I said internally, the outside case should all be the same. He said well if that were the case, when he looked up the clutch cover case for my 1290(to replaced under warranty) that it should also show that it fits the other models a well not just list the 1290. Is this correct (I don't think so)? I feel that if that is indeed the case then maybe the bearings inside the clutch cover (because it comes with the bearings already installed) that maybe the 1290 uses different bearings. But that does not change the fact (in my opinion) that the outer case is the same on the rc8,1190 and 1290
