When trying to reply to a PM i get this.....


Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 535 5.7.0 authentication failed

..... and the message goes into the outbox rather than sent items. I just noticed there are other messages in there too which would explain why I've not had replies to previous PMs.

Can you have a look please to see if you can fix the problem.

been trying to fix this annoying little bug for the past year or so.. have come up with nothing, have no idea as sending Pms is geting a bit temperamental... sometimes they get sent, other times i get the debug message... have tried switching browsers (from safari to firefox), but it seems to have no effect

i'm hoping that the next update of phpbb will cure this bug

anyone an expert on these things on here? would really appreciate the help

I can say that I am getting this error on 2 PC's both running differnet versions of Mozilla; one is the latest, both on XP. This has been going on for some time but on occassions it works perfectly? Wierd.
