Optimate4 and acc2?

Hi, i've done a search but can't find anything relating specifically to my question.
Can you safely attach an Optimate4 to the Acc2(positive supply) lead in the headlight mask?
I've looked at attaching it with the supplied lead to the battery but as others have found the battery terminals are a pain to get to!
On the box of the Optimate4 is states 'up to 800mA of support is available' would this be too much 'juice' for the Acc2 connection?

I believe Plimpton did this and tucked the lead in behind the mask attaching it with a peice of velcro,, think it's in the "how to" section,,,

800mA is very low and is no problem for the ACC connection. Go for it!

Don't use it with a proper big charger however but trickle chargers are fine.
