I have 07 SD with little over 2500 miles. I had initial break in service done at dealership and couple of weeks ago I noticed gaskets in various places shows oil being sipping through. I asked at the dealer service and according to them it's because there is too much oil in the engine and I need to drain and clean the extra oil sipping out!!! First of all, the factory manual says if I do oil change it would void the warranty so I shouldn't mess with the oil. Second if dealer service tech is the one over filled oil then they should take care of all that stuff you would think. I just wonder if the gasket issue is not caused by any other reason beside what I was told since the dealer doesn't even know how to fill the engine oil properly. Yes the site gauge does show too much oil but when engine is running the oil level is in between minimum and max line.
