I believe the theory is that due to the faulty ground the fan is not reaching full speed. Normally it can pull enough air to prevent over-heat, as it should. Have your dealer check that...
Define "starting to overheat"... Mine would max out the temp bar then the temp bar would start flashing, under the same conditions.
