Does anyone know if the black rear seat cover for the 1290 is painted or just polished black plastic? I'm hoping it polished black plastic. It comes in a plastic bag with a thin protective film over it. The cover has many fine scratches in it and I tried polishing them out with polishing compound and a foam buffer pad on a drill. It lightened them up some and would like to really get into polishing, but I'm afraid that if its paint I might go through the paint before they are illiminated.
Painted or just polished plastic

#3No paint just black plastic, I thought about getting a design hydro dipped on mine but I’ve already spent over £3000 on bits for my 1290 and I can only push my luck so far before the wife finds out.
