Thx Rigga for your answer. The problem is that i can not ask GYTR about reccomendation about their product on the SD, because it is designed exclusively for the 04-06 R1. With that being said, and to clarify things, the remapping, should it be for the standard ECU, or get the Power Commander. Pardon my ignorance I am not that inclined about these things.

Well, for me it's about peice of mind know that your bike is tuned right. I thought the akro map was shit with my custom cans...

So I just lashed out the $$$ and made sure. Nothing beats a custom map for your bike. I've seen two identical R1's built by the same guy, tuned with pc3's and both needed completely different maps. Run one map on the other R1 and it lost about 4hp. Comes down to what you want to spend really... If you have the coin i wouldn't hesitate... or test it and see... I did put up with the akro map for about 6 months.
thank you guys. lots of good info, (which I was suspecting anyways) keep them coming
Have you considered Tuneboy as an alternative? Should be available sometime soon. There's a few threads here dedicated to it. I'm waiting for it rather than going the PC3 route....
