Are you talking headers here or the silencers?
Keeping headers clean is a pain in the arse. I had mine ceramic coated but that pics up scale after a bit and gets a brown-ish coating on. Having the headers ceramic coated in and out does help gas flow though.
I polish my Akra slips-ons with a Auto Glym metal polish and they clean up a treat.
