#2My dealer warned me never to touch the throttle when starting the bike or else it will make make an awful sound like the one you describe. You have to let the ecu do it's thing when turning the key and then hit the button without a hand on the throttle to get a clean start apparantly.
I've done 150 miles this evening and stalled it a few times (too used to a 4 cylinder jap bike) and each restart has been fine, but I've had to force myself not to start it with some throttle

#3Chris , I never do and have never done ,the throtel thing . On a start up , it is a bad habbit I dont have , I allways sart the bike up and let it do its thing to warm up wether its on choke ,or farst idell , or like this one ,it dose it for you so no need to tuch the throtel on start up I just push the buton and let it do its thing , I am just so diserpionted with it at the minit , I carnt relax on it ,for wateing for it to cut out on me

#4And do not hit the start button as long as the FI-light is lighting up.

#5Yep, this is a common problem on 05/06 model SD's. If you mention it when you book the bike in for it's first service they will sort it out. It is a known problem and your dealer should be aware.
