Question on SAS removal

Been reading all sorts of stuff for days here, but have not found the answer to one specific question...

I disabled the SAS with a marble, simple and effective, used it on Honda's and Yamaha's over the years, works like a champ and costs nothing.

My question, is that right now, my bike is stock. Will disabling SAS cause the lambda sensors to think that my motor is running too rich and therefor lean things out?

Normally I do it when I get a pip and PCIII and dyno-tune the bike, but with it being stock, I just wanted the popping to go away and I sorta do it out of habit.

Will it throw things off? I would not think so, but I had to ask.

I do plan to knock out the CAT tonight or tomorrow, or at least gut it. Did it on my 2007 FZ1 with positive results.

Doesn't through the flow off too much, but did make it louder. Thought it might tide me over till I can get the Akro system.

Your thoughts?

I just came to the SD 990 from a Hypermotard. Overall I am pleased, it is a sharper and faster bike, although the Ducati stomps all over it in the low end and mid-range.

But for the kind of riding I do, I would rather have the higher top end, so it works great for me.
