Does anyone know if the R & G Tail Tidy for the SuperDuke street legal (aka WILL IT PASS STATE INSPECTION) in the US?

Why would it not? And why would you need to get your bike inspected?

Some states have vehicle inspections to ensure they're road worthy.

As long as you have a plate light I think you'll be fine. Not sure about VA, but in PA your turn signals have to be a certain distance from the tail light (or from each other I can't remember off the top of my head), but most places just check to make sure you have them and they work. Although they won't pass an integrated tail light with turn signals.

In the UK we have an annual road-worthiness test (MOT). Never heard of a tail tidy causing a fail, as long as the plate was of regular size and there was a plate light present.

I think there is something to to with the distance between the signals, but I believe that the R&G one is fine (for the UK).

It depends upon how anal your state is. The turn signals that come with the tail tidy are definitely not DOT approved (the stock KTM signals are perhaps the smallest DOT approved signals I've ever seen). Very few aftermarket signals are DOT approved (Rizomas and Oberon signals are not DOT. DOT seems to emphasize surface area rather than lumens.) and you wouldn't want to replace your stockers with the ones that are DOT. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/3/ ... C_ID=10010

According to this site, while signals are not required in VA, if they are attached they must be approved. http://www.bikerenews.com/Stories_Archi ... n.html#360
