Hello all, sorry not been posting for a while moved house (got a wey bigger garage now! ) so no internet for a while, back up and running again!
As we all know we all like our dukes to be individual and thought I would play around with the carbon race mask I recently purchased on ebay which comes like this:
only problem is with the race mask it does not house the speedo rec counter only, could have possibly cut a hole in it but instead cut it out completely with a dremel type device this was the best option.
Removed original headlight it quickly unplugs and cut off indicator wiring.
Cleaned it up with wet and dry and used the original housing, had to make a couple of holes for indicators too.
Would take 10-20 mintues to change back to original light, easy peesey.
Total cost £50 the cost of the cowl from fleabay, I think it looks good better than the lights that were on.
It looks like an OEM item, the pic in fairness makes it look a bit white in places and picks up any bit of dust with the flash but it fits flush and looks clean...
I never ride in the dark/dusk time anyway and dont use it to commute, ride mostly in the week day on quiet roads and have some white leathers so all in all dont really need the light, and most of all perfectly legal
