Race R Model Single Seat Unit

Has anyone got any suppliers for this.

Looking for an R rear end. Preferably the full race spec with no rear light. Hoping it might work out cheaper as I could maybe modify the std undertray, then use race seat foam to make a seat pad.

I know Perfect Fairings in Greece do one but I've got their side panels and the finish was terrible, needed a lot of work.

Any info would be helpful. Anyone got any pics of an R model undertray compared to a std one?

So the tail unit comes in two parts, rear section and seat section.

Shouldn't be a prob it I went for the one I'm my link thats all in one.

Undertray might be a problem though. Looks like I'd need that and the lock assembly.

What about the guys who raced the bikes. How did they have it set up?
Linga, can you take pics of how yours mounts or does it have a std R rear with light etc.

I'm away till the 14th but here are a couple of pics.
If you go this option, it mounts on the forward passenger mounts, I scored some wide head allen bolts fron the wreckers.
You will also need two arced supports under it, If you look at and SDR tail Micrfiche you will see what I mean.
One is up front near the tank and another is just at the end of where the undertray is.
I made my own for my R6 with some 3mm Aluminium flat bar and rubber stoppers.
The tail off Perfect Fairings was made to fit an 06 I think and so I had to Jerry and cut the underside a little but it works well.
My taill fits snug so needs nothing on the rear, I'm sure you could do something similar.
Also don't put the R seat on as it makes it too high, looks good but feels shit.

What passenger mounts? My seat mounts onto lugs on the tank just now.

Can I use the std 05 undertray or do I need an sdr one?

What seat are you using instead of the sdr one? Link above comes with a seat by the looks of things. Greek one doesn't.......and doesn't seem to have any mounts.


Got a link for the sdr mounts your talking about. Jim Aim site just shows std models on the parts fische.


All I'm trying to find out is........if I buy one of these.......will it end up costing me a fortune for mounts, undertray, seat etc. Or can I secure it on using dzus or something and bodge an undertray together.

The seat mounts where your old passenger footrests used to.
The mould doesn't clip in to the tank like the seat but rather just wraps around it and is held in place by two Allen bolt further back(where the passenger mounts used to be. You will. E able to keep the normal under tray.
I'm using the normal seat but have ordered some foam for the next race.

i think Linga is on about parts 68 & 86 and the rubber mounts that go on them -
