Smoky, it sounds like it's kind of like 4 wheel drive. You never need it until you need it. You've got me interested in getting one now; seems like cheap insurance to keep from being stranded.

Could be worse, though; you could have a Brutale and have to worry about that low mounted oil cooler right behind the front wheel. No thanks.

27000 miles and nothing more than a couple of folded over leaves of metal on the front.

I think there would be more chance of negative effects coming from improper cooling in the summer city rides rather than a stone....but thats only a guess....

Not such a direct pic but you will get the idea... made with aerodynamic 'forever' woven mesh stainless steel, seems to be cut with a laser cos the fit is perfect!
