The RAM set up I have is very solid and secure, but has nothing in the form of vibration damping on it at all. It's handlebar mounted. I have found that screwing the videa camera down onto the stand but with a thin layer of sponge between the camera and the base helps quite a bit. That way I get a viewable image, but there is still some vibration to it.
