Hmm... sounds kinda strange. An emergency map won't pull such a good and smooth curve IMO but we have to take it that the mechanic know what he's talking about.
In the meantime things are progressing Down Under at TuneBoy. I just had contact with them and they gathered the required info on the download protocol to the KTM Keihin ECU. I will take a little time to implement this protocol in their TuneEdit software but then we'll have the full monty.
TuneEdit is able to make new fuel- & ignition maps from scratch giving total control over every single parameter. This is
THE way to go and fundamentally better than 'sensor tricking' like PowerCommander or Rapid Bike Module does . TuneEdit builds and downloads an entire new map into the ECU created the same way as Keihin/KTM does without he need for additional wiring, piggy back boxes etc. Obviously this has to be done by a specialist/Tuneboy dealer.
