Rear spring ID

I have been fiddling with the sag on my SD and the rear spring is to soft for my 100kg so need to get another, been looking for the inside diameter but can’t find it without taking the spring out, anyway that’s not happening at the moment so the question is do you know the internal diameter of the spring and for the Australian riders where to get one in the Brisbane area.

I would measure mine but still in Aus.

Kowekiller posted up a couple of links to sites selling springs (eibach and ?????forgot) and they were really good prices. do a search on springs.

I believe that KTM calls out 59 mm ID. Over here, the aftermarket rear springs are usually 2.25" ID (~57 mm), in 7" length. They fit the OEM SD perches - no problem. Note that 7" is slightly shorter than the OEM springs - but will not effect anything. Also there is plenty of thread length on the shock body for a 6" spring if you prefer that.

In Oz, should be pretty easy to find vendors of either Hyperco or Eibach. Hyperco's catalog list is better in this size. Don't limit yourself to moto shops.

220 Lbs., presumably w/o gear (and you should set sag with full gear BTW) - I'd go to at least an 1100 Lb./in. spring ...

I'm inclined to throw in that you're not going to be super pleased with that change without getting correct front springs also.

I had about 1-1.5mm took of my top collar so that I could get an ohlins spring to fit, nothing had to be done to the bottom collar I also weigh around 100kg and it took a 200nm spring for me, I am getting around 8mm static and 35 loaded with that spring eibach uk could not get me a spring the ohlins was the easy route
