hello
I have 07 SuperDuke with 4800 miles on it. After my 2nd oil change early this year, I decided to adjust my chain and found my axle nut was loose. Once I tighten the nut to spec, wheel would not turn!! Once I took the wheel off, I could see the bearing inside was all messed up. I took the wheel to the dealer I purchased bike from and they made necessary repair. I put the wheel back on and went for a ride and initially it seemed ok. On the first long ride on 101, I got a flat (my luck huh), ended up taking the wheel to CycleGear to get a new tyre out on. Once wheel was back on the bike, now I realised that there was clunking sound coming from my rear wheel!!!
I took the wheel off again, and looking at that wonderful KTM OEM diagram, realised that the bushings and bearing on the REAR sporcket carrier is missing!!!! The dealer now will not do any more repairs under warranty since it's 2 years since I got the bike. Also accusing me of taking those bearings off sprocket carrier causing this damages. I am thinking of a legal action. Has anyone had similar problem??????? This is actually very dangerous!!! Be aware, this can kill you!!!
